Those who Twist the knife

( for some reason this song keeps popping into my head as I am writing this so hopefully you enjoy it)

In our lives it seems that we all come across certain people who seem to twist the knife, when in all propriety we ourselves would never dream of doing such a thing to another living being they do it and seem to show no remorse for having done so.  What is it that drives man to do such things, is it something they have learned in their lives or are they simply cut from different cloth and struck from a different anvil. Hoping you are following the analogy knives are forged simply to do one thing which is cut flesh of some unsuspecting victims.  We all have wielded these knives whether it be to defend ourselves or because we are striking out in anger at someone in our lives.

Simply wounding others is more than enough for some people most of which will apologize and or feel crappy about what they have done, but what about those individuals who feel the need to once they have wounded the person they must further inflict pain by twisting the knife inside the wound.  Is it simply this person has wielded the knife so frequently in their lives that it know longer seems to pacify them, or is it that these individuals haven't had the knife used on them enough to know what it feels like themselves.  This type of behavior is something I have found so perplexing in my studies of psychology as one who quite often turns the knife on himself.  Whether it be a serial killer or an emotionally bully there is one common trend one who wounds others to get something that they themselves want.  Whether those gains be emotional or material the method is the same, using anothers pain to get their own personal gain.

To all of those who would wield this knife for the tearing of flesh, one would be wise to figure out why motivated them to pick up the knife in the first place.  To all of those who wield this knife for their own personal gain, it's only a matter of time before all those with chunks of flesh taken from them turn their knifes towards you, and how many pounds of flesh do you have to give?
